The tree-dwelling snake, Chrysopelea paradisi, can practically fly from one tree to another. It can launch itself a horizontal distance of 79 feet or more.

Flying Spiders

Spiders can “fly” hundreds of miles at a time. By casting out a strand of silk and catching an air current, they can effortlessly travel long distances — albeit with little control over their destinations.
